SAI has been hiring into both fleets due to attrition. Some, but not all, of that attrition has been to Atlas. So some who would have walked across the street will not. But until the deal is done, and Southern pilots are working under Atlas' terms and conditions, the attrition will not be much abated. AA, DL, UA, SW, B6 and NK are still all better jobs than SAI. Heck, they're still better jobs than Atlas, who have their own attrition problems. The future at SAI is much brighter today than last month. But its still a better place to have been at than it is to be at.
