But yes, as someone that's been through furlough/shut down, mutiple displacements and concessions, it's a valuable lesson. When times are good, there's profits, the company is prospering, it's VERY EASY for management to do things to give the illusion that employees are valued. When it's not good, they're simply another line item cost that needs to be managed. And they wouldn't think twice about shedding you **cough cough furlough cough cough**
