Those of you that are telling guys not to go to Atlas are being a bit ridiculous, IMO. It's up to each individual to determine whether making a move is a good decision or not, and what their motivation is. In the case of many regional FO's, they're stuck at a lower pay, worse schedule(in terms of days off per month, at least), and the chance of upgrade may be as far away as the potential upgrade at Atlas.

Some are Captains at regionals that may take a pay cut their first year, but then make more from year 2 on, and have a better family life if they're not living in their base.

Some are coming from other ACMI carriers that are looking for a better life for their family...can you blame them?

Personally, I am coming from an overseas carrier, and looking forward to joining Atlas. It gets me back home to the good 'ole USA, gives me a decent schedule, a good group of people to work with(according to my buddies there), and the opportunity to make Atlas a career destination. ALL IN.

Regardless of where a pilot is coming from, I think that most will be ALL IN...and we can make it a great place to be. If things don't go well, then Atlas will become a stepping stone for many. Whatever the case, we all need to stick together, fly the CBA, back the Union, and have some fun in the meantime.
