So how long can AFRC sit on separation requests before it becomes effectively Stop Loss? Nine months seems a bit excessive. What's to stop them from delaying separations for up to a full fiscal year? I'm sorry but if the standard in corporate America is two weeks notice, anything more than a couple months delay in processing someone's separation request is positively criminal. I wonder if this will affect recruiting: "So, how long will my commitment be?" "Well X years but in reality you can only leave when we say you can". Seems legit.
