The only thing you can do is send your resume to the places you would be happy working at and go to the first that calls. If someone else calls you after that, re-evaluate if you want.....
I was lucky enough to get hired at AA, then was furloughed....was lucky enough to eventually get hired at UPS, where I'm still a perpetual new-hire after 9 years, i.e. no growth since 2007...Just looked at the 3xp (seniority calc that APA has) and I would be anywhere from 20 to 50+/- percential on the various bid statuses AA currently has (except the 777 and 787). I'm not complaining, just trying to illustrate that you make the best decision that you can at the time. It's a constantly changing guessing game, and our careers are unfortunately tied to either the geniuses or total idiots that run our perspective companies (many other factors, too....but you get the idea...)
