The chief pilots keep track of idiots like this too. They have files on these guys and have the do not pair lists printed out each month to see if there have been any changes. We can use professional standards as a starting point and that generally works pretty well.

This is a great job, but unfortunately some guys make it a pain in the ***!
Oh, I hear you. So far I haven't been unlucky enough to be paired with someone I simply couldn't effectively function with. I've had some "interesting" personalities for sure (micro-managers, Alpha males on steroids, OCD and those who simply are oblivious as to how they're perceived by those they work with, etc.), but if I can't fly with someone they truly must excel at tooldom. I just didn't know to what degree reserves could make use of the policy. I'm sure in my case, it's simply a matter of time though.
