Well to start, cause it's not fair that a more senior person should wait to get into sims and delay the time he/she can hit the line and start crediting more time and per diem. Those things equal more money. But I can understand how something like that could be overlooked when signing a new TA. Hard to thing about the people who aren't on property yet
In both the new hire classes I've attended, the more senior you were the later the start date for the sim you choose. Why not enjoy six weeks home getting paid while the junior guys go right from indoc to sim?
