I agree the company will have a hard time staffing them with senior pilots but if new guys don't bid it they will just stick new hires in it.
If the company assigns a new hire to it, is there still a 2yr. seat lock?
The best way to negotiate a higher pay rate would be for NOBODY to bid it, make the company assign every pilot in each seat, and then have them bail out of it ASAP, keep the training churn to a maximum, and see just how long the company can keep that up before they come to their senses and raise the pay.
