Might be an exaggeration but to put it in perspective, the 717 APU takes just under 3 minutes to get started and an additional 2 minutes until air is available. It then takes over 2 minutes to get the 1st engine cranked bringing us until 7 minutes to have the ability to taxi if we were to do the same thing. I know they aren't operating 717s but not everybody can just step on the brake and hit the auto start button with the FOB in their pocket
