There are -88 layovers in DEN, but the trips change too much to depend on anything staying the same. As an example, EWR pairings are minimal in March on the -88 and will probably be gone by May if not April. They'll come back around September (probably).

The "717" is just an MD-95. There's nothing Boeing about it. The cockpit is the ACF from the MD-11. If you pick it over the -88, you'll have better ergonomics, better packs and worse trips.
