My wife just read the article; she speaks Spanish. She said according to the story, the pilot arrived at security with a weapon and at the time of his arrival, the other pilot had not yet arrived. The flight was to depart from Mexico City for San Antonio. I can only assume FFDO program doesn't extend to flights down in Mexico, or maybe the pilot was an FFDO and forgot to leave his weapon at home?
