I can't take the pay and lack of benefits much longer, if you were considering another Regional, Who would be on your list for consideration, with pay and benefits as a driving factor?
Thanks
I like most everyone I have works with at Mesa and have found helpful advice from them in the past.
How long have you been here? Do you really want to quit and start back at the bottom, go through another training cycle, etc.? Your pay will go up when you upgrade, and despite the people on here insisting the quick upgrade is gone (to try to keep the right seat empty for negotiating purposes), we are still filling classes, adding planes and will announce more new flying. The quick upgrade is here for a while, especially if you are already on property and out on the line, and our attrition off the top is picking up. Remember when FaceBiter was on here railing against Mesa saying the quick upgrade train left and everyone coming here was stupid? Well he was wrong. And now that a few of the former Mesa cheerleaders have upgraded, they want the right seats to be empty so they have more leverage in our ongoing negotiations.
The only way I would make a lateral move from Mesa is if you are currently commuting and could go somewhere else and live in base. It's not roses and butterflies at other regionals. SKW guys seem to be getting abused since they have no reserves. The wholly owneds, while they have decent AA priority and travel bennies, aren't great. A PSA buddy of mine who started there a little less than a year ago hates it and wants to bail. ENY? Yeah right. Piedmont? maybe, if you live in base. XJT? No way. CPZ? I'd do that if I lived in a CPZ base. RAH...yeah right. 9E? Maybe, if I lived in base. I'd ride out the low pay, but I don't know your situation/hours/proximity to upgrade. At least for a little while longer as you watch the trends with attrition and gain experience.
