Five or six years from today, there will be more major airline retirements than there are regional pilots to replace them. Things at Allegiant I'm sure will get better quick as a result, but that will be a false result. Things will go to good, than back to bad due to shrinking from the lack of pilots. Hopefully, you can find a successful merger.
Perhaps that is part of the G4 management strategy, to run things more or less the way they are now, and when the big pilot shortage occurs they will bail with all their millions and the company will either go out of business or be merged/sold to another entity. They have to be aware of the pending US pilot shortage and have made personal and business plans for it.
