If you are going to paycut down to 50,000 or less, just start over at an LCC. There is no difference. You are only a lifer at RAH assuming you are making 100,000 or more. Once that stops, there's no reason to stay, might as well take advantage of the boom and move on. Maybe you can't get on with a legacy but there will be plenty of opportunity at an LCC.
I agree with you, LCC's are growing like crazy and their pay is going up as well! I have a buddy who jumped ship and went to Allegiant, he says there adding dozens of new planes this year and are hiring hundreds of new pilots. Be easy to move up the seniority list. Something to definitely look into now.
