While we don't have horrible hotels you get to pick one of the following mutually exclusive options:
- Comfortable hotel with all the fixin's, or
- Good location.
We do not have short and long hotels, maybe one can be considered in a downtown or prime location, and there is usually one big drawback to each location we stay at. While you'll have the creature comforts during a trip, by the end of a 5-day trip it will wear on you. At this point, I don't bid trips based on layovers since they are all the same. The Baymont in Vegas had pilots in an uproar, and rightfully so. Fortunately, I only spent one night there, but it was soon followed by the glorious Best Western Milwaukee Airport. It really made me question how we pick our locations.
Bottom line, our hotel committee needs a change of leadership.
