I think you might be talking about two different companies.
There was a company that had the call sign Star Check but I believe they were out of Ohio. I believe it was Airnet.

One out of DAL by the name of Telesis that flew Barrons.

The one out of ADS was Cirrus Air. They got rid of all their airplanes sometime around 98 and used Ameriflight to do the DAL-MSY. I used to do it. Not sure who they used to do the rest of their old network.
The owner of Cirrus was a complete D'bag. Had a couple of incidents with him that were memorable-almost 20 yrs later. Not to mention that they used to charge $4k to get checked out in a 402 (or a Barron) in '95-'96. I never worked for Cirrus but did indirectly through a contract.
