All I can go on is what I know and what I experienced. That person had legitimate gripes as well, but could roll to the extreme sometimes. I don't think it is my right to know what happened, but I do know that he put his neck out there and paid for it.

Once he was in SAPA, he tried to get something in policy so that we couldn't just change the bylaws when it was convenient. Not sure what happened to that since we never get any notes from SAPA meetings. He was also able to get the notes from the previous six months of meetings updated on the site since there was nothing on there from 2015.

Last election we had a pretty good FO running that seemed excited to get in and make some changes. Instead we voted in the same old SAPA reps. We also have a pretty smart guy from what I can see that would be able to provide some data driven info about our pairings. But he didn't get selected as our pairing liason even though it is pretty apparent that he has some great ideas.

I have tried to get involved as I mentioned before. But I would rather spend my free time on actions that will help me move on. And that is sad because we have great people here, but looking at last month it seems that even the super senior are getting the message that they are not valued or wanted here anymore.
