Every AAG wholly owned carrier has exactly ONE customer that farms out work that actually belongs to the APA.

Actually, to say the flying that those individual carriers did was "never" theirs is incorrect. Prior to AMR's purchase of those carriers, they were their own independent airlines with their own networks completely separate from AMR and APA. Of course, once AMR did buy one of those carriers, they were free to do as they wished with it and were operated as an exception the the APA Green book.
