I think its just the opposite, where the first year your drinking the koolaid; loving the airplane and digging the layovers. Than the newness wears off, you get screwed one too many times by scheduling, fly with a douche of a capt, and find out the company is going to try to milk out the current contract as long as possible.
Than you find yourself updating your profile at AirlineApps, etc...
This was essentially my exit interview with DB. Took me three years to get that p!$$ed though.
