Conservatively, I'd anticipate an additional tax liability on 6-8K of imputed income per year. What is the impetus for the office to shop the most economical fare (as i have skin in the game to pay for it)? Essentially, they are spending the money on your behalf, so is it all still a legal deduction?
Thanks in advance for the insight!

Commuting expenses are no more deductible than driving to work at an office job. Of course, many play fast and loose with the IRS and occasionally even get away with it, others get half million dollar fines!
