C'mon, Mike! Surely you as a Viper guy can appreciate some pilot humor!
When I was a T-6 flight CC I stood up a flight for the 1st T-6 student training squadron. We were known as the Enforcers and I chose a western/cowboy theme for our decor', flying call sign, etc. Our 'award' to the student that was voted to have done the dumbest thing each week was a pair of cap gun six shooters that I painted pink. Their 'punishment' was they had to wear them in a double holster/belt in the flightroom at all times unless they were briefing/debriefing or doing formal student training (EPQs, stand-up, etc). Not mean to humiliate them but to razz them a little for being knuckleheads. Students would actually write poems that described their fellow stud's stupid event (which, surprisingly, were often VERY humorous, well-crafted poems) and then they voted who won the award. They seemed to have a good time with it. We went 49-3 on our 52 student checkrides, so I'd like to think we were doing something right.
