Once I get to ATL, I will be looking to bid reserve and get called as seldom as possible to maximize time at home. If that is my agenda, which of these jets will be most suitable to accomplish my objective? I am trying to rack my choices (if I get a choice!!) for the 4Apr class.

Everything changes, but I have been on the 73N ATL since being a June 15 new hire. I commute and never get to sit at home long call to start. Always either assigned short call or a trip on day 1 of a reserve block. I sat in a Crashpad this week for two days of short call and didn't get assigned. First time that happened in 6 months! I always get called to fly, though I often yellow slip a request to fly. I hear similar stories from my Indoc class. I still love it!

I have 2 Crashpad mates on the bottom of the ATL320 list who couldn't beg for flights. Just sat a lot, though that has changed a little the last month or so.

Just remember, if you get 737 or 320 out of Indoc, you will have senior guys coming off the 88 and 717 over to your category when their 1 year freeze is up. This can hold you in place for awhile if they stop awarding the category at Indoc behind you. Timing is everything. We had 26 73N drops in my class including 16 in ATL. The senior guys in my class have held a line from day 1. Instant seniority. Relatively speaking.

Just food for thought..
