I'd say it's very likely. Since they revamped the process this year, they greatly limited the number of M&Gs a CP is allowed to do each year (I believe it is 24), and in the words of one they now only want to see "the best of the best."

I assume they carry significantly more weight now, and will more likely directly lead to an invite.
