Most likely, the reason we are not building a hanger is because the rumors of us moving to PHX maybe true.
What is your source, or are you just perpetuating internet rumors? "Most likely" you don't know what you are talking about.

Our contract (have you ever read it?) says we will have single occupancy hotels. They can't just change it on a whim to save money. Also, the number one threat to the Mesa house of cards crumbling is no one filling the right seat. This is why they will put money into new hires and not deter new hires from coming, which double occupancy certainly would do, even if they were allowed to do it.

The cost structure is not prime for profit. What is your assertion based on? Have you seen Mesa's financials? Do you know what their debts/interest rates are? Have you looked at their balance sheet? Labor costs are only a fraction of what Mesa has to pay.

"Tons of extra sim time" with the assumption that eventually he/she will make it is cheaper than recruiting another new hire and giving him 10 sims (along with all the other sunk costs into the extra sim new hire). And every warm body counts. Someone who struggles in sims and barely makes it will likely be at Mesa a while anyway and might be a better long term investment.

Some of these rumors and statements by internet COOs/CFOs are getting painful to read. Also, not that it is relevant, but you hang clothes on a hanger, and you put an airplane in a hangar.
