It remains junior regardless of the most recent class drops. You'll be able to get in there without a problem and reliably for the foreseeable future via an AE.

No worries. Just pick an aircraft that gets you back to NY in the next AE. (advanced entitlement)

I was hired 12/7/15 and am already moving to LAX 717B From my class drop of NYC 717B in April having never flown a trip in NY.

My seniority number is right around 12830. You'll see where just that much seniority gets you and doesn't, generally. It's pretty obvious anything in NY is pretty junior.
