Yes, you lost me, just like your buddy. The shrinking and subsequent growing of the 200 fleet was a slow, arduous and I'm sure expensive process. They still need the lift, why would they give it all up? With current scope there is no replacing them with bigger planes, only shuffling planes around.
The notion that Bombardier is in trouble so Delta wants to hedge their bets is ridiculous. Especially since they are considering a C-Series order. We all wouldn't just wake up one day and Bombarider would be out of business and the CRJs would stop flying. How are MDs still flying today?
