Remember for those that think bankruptcy is dramatic and far fetched. If you have all these planes on order and growth plans, how will these magical things occur without pilots?!? Does Spirit Airlines say "just kidding" to its shareholders or is there a way to restructure by legal means? I'm a little out of my element here but I think that requires chapter 11 if you can't fulfill your obligations to your creditors. Give it 3-4 years without a contract and thats what's on the table. Any other chess move on managements behalf like a merger or something sinister that buys them time only worsens their position in the long run. If I played chess I'd says management has no move here other than $$$
