BTW, if you deviate from DH your hotel is still provided for, but your transportation to the hotel may not be. Ground transportation to and from your hotel is NOT deadheading by definition.

For example, if your transportation is by pre paid contracted limo you will probably have to pay for your own cab or uber to the hotel. Crew accommodations might be able to switch your prepaid ride to a later time or pay for another limo ride just for you, but I don't think they have to. Anybody have any experiences with this to share? I'd like to know also.
