check your fm. pretty sure you don't need to sit in plane calling ops to remove air "so you can start the apu"
. it's ok to call and start at samo timo. then as soon as they pull it, you can open apu bleed

what i always find is texas style guppy caps sittin up there :15 before departure with the cabin climbing thru 78 degrees and they act like starting the apu 10 min early will cost extra 20 bucks and will make the hedge fund guys have to downgrade from netjets g550 to Citation X and they just sit there and don't start the darn air cond
