It's true at any airline; they all need pilots, and all are willing to take the risk that someone who struggled thru 10-15 sim sessions elsewhere will suddenly "get it" when going thru another training program.

At the same time, Mesa is getting lateral transfers from other regionals, not just new hires. Sure, the money sucks, but money doesn't drive everyone's train; a fact that not everyone can understand.

Very well so guys, but I have to say this much, the training department at mesa is one of the best if not the best. Everyone that is in the March class are pretty sharp taking into consideration we have 2 from Compass, 7 from Go-jet, 5 from Silver, 1 from Trans-State and 1 from RAH. Out of the remaining 21 at least 15 came from 135 jet or prop jobs and the remainder are flight instructors. Also the April classes are filled already and the mid month CRJ class is here with over 15 fresh bodies. Amazing. Maybe other regionals could really learn something from YV.
