People can hate on Mesa all they want, but classes are continuing to be filled, or nearly so. People who can't hang elsewhere tend to give Mesa a try, sure. But I also know that people who can't pass at Mesa have gone to XJet and PSA in recent past. At the same time, Mesa is getting lateral transfers from other regionals, not just new hires. Sure, the money sucks, but money doesn't drive everyone's train; a fact that not everyone can understand.
Very well so guys, but I have to say this much, the training department at mesa is one of the best if not the best. Everyone that is in the March class are pretty sharp taking into consideration we have 2 from Compass, 7 from Go-jet, 5 from Silver, 1 from Trans-State and 1 from RAH. Out of the remaining 21 at least 15 came from 135 jet or prop jobs and the remainder are flight instructors. Also the April classes are filled already and the mid month CRJ class is here with over 15 fresh bodies. Amazing. Maybe other regionals could really learn something from YV.
