Atlas mgmt, as well as other mgmt teams, and a LOT of pilots have not realized how bad this pilot shortage is becoming. We are only at the edge of a huge tsunami. Atlas has gotten less interest, and less resumes at the job fairs, but it hasn't affected recruiting numbers much...yet.

DAL and UAL are thinking about ab-initio training programs. Atlas mgmt doesn't even know what ab-initio hiring is, and they wouldn't understand why DAL/UAL are considering it. Jetblue started ab-initio hiring programs in Jan 2016.
