You're right, it shouldn't concern anyone if a pilot decides to bring food to work.
The concern begins when pilots are making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the bread they took from breakfast because they don't make an decent salary.
It's a pain in the a$$ to carry a cooler, but it's worth it to me. On almost every trip a fellow crew member will make a comment about the amount of bags I carry on a trip. Then there are the snotty gate agents in Detroit that give me grief as well. I single out Detroit because they're the only gate agents that give me crap about it out of all the places I go
