I know you are kidding about deadheading over and then turning right around with no rest and flying home. No one would put a Captain in the position of having to make a tough decision to cancel with a unrested crewmember.
The coach seat part however means you don't know the contract. Please hold the companies feet to the fire and enforce the contract.
