Unless I am misunderstanding the booking process, if you deviate, there have to be business class seats available for you to book them. If there are no BC seats available, you CAN still deviate, but you've got to take an available seat (i.e. coach). You can't bump paying business class pax to get the BC seat on a deviate DH.

Personally, I'll iron man a back end if there are BC seats available, but if not, ...Radisson, here I come. To me, it's not worth getting 'squished between two fat people for 12 hours' to get home exhausted. (thanks for the visual scambo1 )
