SW dropping 737 and rumor is soon the 1000 TPIC, delta may drop the college degree requirement (pure speculation), FedEx dropped 1000 TPIC I believe as well.
There were two guys back in 06-07 that went to Delta. More recently I hear there was one that interviewed but did not get hired, and another that interviewed, did get hired, but for personal reasons elected to decline.

Delta does have a reputation for military preference, but it's not exclusive. The military simply doesn't put out as many pilots as they used to, so like the rest, they're having to be less selective.
