If you really want to fly with a Guard/Reserve unit, you'd do better taking any slot (admin clerk, supply, anything) in a unit you want to fly in and apply for a pilot training position after you've established a good reputation in the unit.
As much as I'd love to it would be a step back to do that. I'm barking up against the age limit and going to an enlisted job would set me back close to 6 months if not more from my current airline gig. I'm just shotgunning apps out now and if it works great if not it's all good just wasn't meant for me.
