It's a strange algorithm is all I can say.
Were they in the "short stack"? I am beginning to believe nobody really knows why people get interviews. One day you hear you need to go to job fairs to get points, the next day it appears job fairs don't matter; next it is volunteering, but plenty of new hires did not volunteer. Some guys have not updated their app for a year and get a call. PFM!
