You know if I knew what the "magic" formula was to get hired by UAL I would sell it and make a bunch of money. But I do know this, the number with degrees, 6000 hour +, no DUI/DWI, clean flight records, Line Check experience, APD, Officer in charge, Academy, Captain (not just PCI) time and more is rather high.

So for the rest keep working on these things and don't accept being a senior F/O and enjoying your days off when you could have upgraded to reserve Captain. If you have a partially completed degree work on finishing it instead of watching the latest sports event.

Life's short, senority is everything and no one ever looks back and says, "I'd wished I'd drank more beer." Well maybe some do.
