My only two points are:
1. Everyone says "if" a financial collapse/economic happens again, it's really when. The average is every 9 years or so. But the retirements are enough that I think Legacy hiring will continue although it may slow.
2. With current trends I'm expecting more ab-initio programs and flows from regional to mainline. Like JetBlue's new program, CapeAir to JB, Endeavor to Delta, PSA to AA etc. This will ensure the continued existence and staffing of the regionals and probably make it harder for an off the street hire.
Still, times are good, enjoy it while it lasts.
