Slightly different question on the same topic:
How exactly does the drop get dispensed?, ie, the drop comes down and then do they just say "Here's the list of everyone in SSN order. #1 what do you want?" How much time between seeing the actual drop and picking? A couple hours before/after lunch? Are there cheerleaders involved?
Do I at least get to phone a friend?
You will be seated in seniority order. The will tell you the drop in the morning. You pick several hours later. Have a plan before you get there, but there is time to use a lifeline call.
