Nope, we eat well, although we cook our meals at home 95% of the time. Life's too short for crappy food. I do bring food on trips with me still, most 3 days I do I still only buy one meal out, and it's normally under $10. Mostly for health reasons. Most food on the road is loaded with sodium and grease. I do like to try non chain places on our overnights.

You'd be amazed how little stress there is in life when you bid reserve living in base. When you don't need to work 85-90 hours a month you have a lot of freedom in life to do what you want, and not have to work to pay someone else's salary.
