As for pilot rank shrinkage. I understand it to be a reduction in pilots per airplane. Not necessarily a shrinkage. Add a few airframes and you ratio hits what they want.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I heard it something along those lines, considering that by the end of the year we will have a net gain in aircraft.
Also somewhat of a political/power move...but also to get rid of the guys that are 60+ and a few that are above 70.
