I can remember being lectured both as a student in flight school and as a single engine CFI that I would never get hred at any regional with less than 100 hours multi time. It was the hot ticket just a few years ago and according to some would never change. Ever.
"Gotta get that multi bro or you'll b a career CFI..."
And yet here we are. My new hire FO sim partner in the 175 here at Mesa has a whopping 25 hours of multi time and is not an MEI.
