Nope. If you get a month break between Indoc and airplane training, that's 90hrs you will be paid to sit at home in your superman underwear. It's a great deal. So great, that once you finish IOE, you'll notice a pay cut from that sweet 90hr a month pay you were previously getting. Can't stay on the training tit forever though.....or can you???[emoji848]
This. And the real hit is in the per diem. You'll go from 30 days/month to maybe 15 in a good reserve month. Maybe less...far less based on BES. So don't let the spouse get used to 90 hrs and 30 days per diem. More like 73 hrs and 12 days per diem on average. Don't let the spouse get used to it. Basic math says that's $8,800/month before and $6400 after.
