Blackface
I think I'll show up at the next OBAP convention and paint myself up in "Blackface" in order to get that airline face time.
Since minorities and women are the favorites amongst airline human resource departments, I'll find that edge that will get me noticed!
Come on now all you white homeboys, get your Blackface on, and come on down for that airline pilot career day!
I remember those days in the late 1970's when United hired woman and minorities with just a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating, 350 hours total time and a high school diploma.
All brought to you by the US government's EEOC, in a federal lawsuit brought on by a black male applicant who was not hired.
Of course the white male still needed an ATP certificate, 1500 hours plus, and a college degree.
39 years later it still exists!
