Clearly it's the RAA's bullet point propaganda and rationale for quashing the 1500/ATP rule and it states their assertion that it would be much safer for the entire nation if regional airlines were allowed to hire pilots who had less than ATP minimums.

The document leads me to two thoughts, which I would like to share

1) If 500 hour pilots were so much safer and easier to train than 1500 - 3000 hours pilots,...... why did all of the regional airlines have posted minimums of 1500 hours, (3000 "competitive"/"preferred") when the pilot supply was not so tight. And

2) If low time pilots, who have not had the time to develop all of those bad habits, are so superior to more experienced pilots,........ WHY DO THE MAJOR AIRLINES NOT TAKE THOSE SAME HIGHLY STRUCTURED AND LESS BAD HABITED 500 HOURS RIDDLE and UND GRADS?????
