[QUOTE=iDonkyPunch;2107914]I start training in june. Using financial aid and federal loans to pay for training and the rest of my degree. Sucks but I wasn't born with a silver enema in my ...

I'm excited knowing there are jobs waiting and pay will keep going up. A wet dream would be more in the line of tuition payment bonuses ect. That would make 80k in loans not so spooky.[/QUOTE

So if you are financing the training, remember the terms will make that 80K around 200K when all is said and done. You'll see just how stagnant the first 10-13 years of the civilian route will be. A normal monthly payment on an 80K student loan is around $650 for 20 years. Get's real burdening when you take home around 1800 for the first 5 years. Just a little perspective.
