Default Unemployed for 2 months... is this a problem?

I left my last job (non-flying) on good terms, the end of January. Since then I haven't worked, I have instead been getting current on everything... instruments, FARS, weather, and I've done exhaustive research on all the different airlines, particularly the regionals. What's more, for the first time my girlfriend and I had to really sit down and discuss what the future might entail with me leaving for an airline job. She's got a great state job and would be foolish to leave it. So we've decided where each of us could make concessions for each other, and at what point in our careers.

So while I wasn't working at a job, I have certainly been productive, dealing with things that absolutely needed to be dealt with, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to do it during the tail end of winter, before the sky started getting blue again.

Are recruiters going to care? Seems like a personal choice for personal reasons. Would my explanations fly with them?
