i'm sorry for your furlough and anguish.

i can't tell you what is going on in ILN, because it doesn't appear that anyone knows. i know that over in japan, most first officers are here earlier than scheduled, between 4-6 days, and have not flown what they were scheduled. all that means is that it is costing the company a lot of extra money. the captains here in japan are saying it is pretty much the same in their seat, maybe not as bad.

the company did start a dc-9 captain class last week, that took 7 b767 first officers off the line. the company admitted that they need to "realign" crew members but have come short of saying there is a crew shortage.

heard third hand that some flights in ILN were canceled or re-routed to cover shortages of crews. the COF looks bloated.

i truly hope to see you on the property sooner versus later, and before the Fall.
