Seems to me that's a lot of hassle just to add a few seats in some Envoy markets, especially if Envoy is slated to get rid of CRJ's in the future. I suppose it's possible, but doesn't sound likely to me anyway.
I don't buy this rumor, but Since when do they care about wasting money at AA? They waste millions for no reason daily on all kinds of idiotic things. This would be no different if they wanted to do it.
They have an airline with crews current and qualified on the E145 at Envoy. Training, MX, Ops certifcate, trained pilots, everything in place already. So the moron Hashimoto decides its a good idea to waste millions transferring 145's to PDT, who doesn't even fly jets, having to start from scratch and start a whole new operation and program just to do it which is very expensive, time consuming and they don't even have the staffing to do it. Brilliant move. Don't you think that was a hassle?
This company does stupid things every day. I certainly wouldn't put it past them.
